Settlers and lawmakers, Viking poets and proud chieftains, outlaws, ghosts and voyages to America: the great prose stories of medieval Iceland, told by Sophia with Philo, Marcos and Demetria, with grammar at every level and a gamebook for each part.
The sagas were written down in the 13th and 14th centuries about events two or three hundred years earlier: part history, part family tradition, part literature, and the lessons say which is which. Feuds and deaths are told briefly and with care. The Norse gods will have a series of their own.
Settlers, assemblies and the wisdom of the High One.
